A delegation from the Lady’s Division of the Benin Golf Section has reinforced its commitment to mentoring future female golfers and promoting values that transcend the sport including discipline, unity, and personal growth.

The golfers were hosted at the Government House in Benin City, where their inclusive leadership model and dedication to nurturing young talents were applauded. The visit served as a platform to recognize golf not just as a game, but as a lifestyle that promotes wellness, mental agility, and community spirit.

Discussions during the meeting underscored the importance of mentorship, with officials highlighting its impact on future generations and its alignment with broader social development efforts in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Mrs. Stella Ajayi commended the supportive environment fostered by the state, especially for vulnerable groups and women. She noted the alignment between golfing values and the state’s empowerment goals, particularly in health, education, and community-building.

The group also extended a warm invitation to the 30th BCGS Ladies Open Tournament and expressed eagerness to collaborate on initiatives that uplift women and youth in Edo.
