The Governor of the State of Connecticut USA has bestowed the prestigious HBIU Global Peace Award on Nigerian born Philanthropist, Pastor and politicians Dr. Nicolas Felix.
The Governor His Excellence, Ned Lamont, also declared August 23rd 2025, as: DR. NICOLAS FELIX DAY IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT.
The declaration was Done at Hartford, Connecticut USA, on 23rd day of August, 2025.
Dr. Nicolas Felix is recognized for his outstanding contributions to humanity and unwavering commitment to improving the human condition.
The Connecticut Governor praised him for his selfless dedication to providing humanitarian services, saving lives, alleviating suffering, and promoting basic human dignity which he said has had a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals.
He noted that his tireless efforts embody the highest ideals of compassion, neutrality, and moral decency, serving as a shining example of humanity’s potential for kindness and generosity.
In his acceptance speech, Dr Felix thanked the Governor of Connecticut and Chancellor of HBI University Connecticut Professor Donneth Macintosh and the entire board and faculty members of HBI University for making the honor done on him possible.
He noted that the Governor’s proclamation of AUGUST 23RD 2025 AS DR NICOLAS FELIX DAY, amplifies the message that serving others is the highest calling of leadership, which will spore him to do more, both for Nigeria and the global community.
He encouraged well meaning individuals to always try to leave their mark in humanity insisting that the honor is a reminder that service still matters and that every act of kindness leaves a trace on the world.
Dr Nicolas Felix is from Ewohimi Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State, he was the Youngest APC Presidential Aspirant in the 2023 presidential election which produced the Current President Bola Tinubu GCFR and in 2019 he was also the Youngest democratic Presidential Candidate in the history of Nigeria were he emerged the 3rd Place Winner in the general election.
He joins eminent Nigerians like Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Akinwunmi Adesina, Bernadette Oramah, Kevin Ibeh and other Nigerians to be honored on the global stage.
